Gol D. Roger: The Pirate King

The captain himself, nicknamed Gold Roger, was a true monster among monsters, considered the most powerful pirate of all time . His charisma and strength allowed him to gather an elite crew and conquer the Grand Line, becoming the Pirate King . With his iconic black mustache and eternal smirk, he commanded respect just by his presence.

His Haki of Kings was so devastating that he could make thousands of men faint with a single glance! Despite his reputation as a ruthless pirate, Roger was actually a just and benevolent man who fought for freedom. For this, he did not hesitate to defy the World Government and other powers.

Suffering from an incurable disease, Roger chose to go out in style on a final fiery journey before surrendering to the Navy. During his execution, he revealed the existence of his legendary treasure, thus triggering the Great Era of Piracy that we know. A true pioneer whose legacy continues to inspire future generations dreaming of finding the One Piece and becoming the next Pirate King.

Silvers Rayleigh: The Dark Lord

Silvers Rayleigh, nicknamed the Dark Lord, was the second and right-hand man of Gol D. Roger. He is a swordsman of unrivaled caliber who mastered the three types of Haki to perfection. Despite his past as a feared pirate, Rayleigh is a calm and intelligent man, with a great sense of humor. His role as mentor to Luffy for two years speaks volumes about his experience and wisdom.

His loyalty to Roger was absolute, to the point that he continues to protect his legacy years later. After the crew's disbandment, Rayleigh retired with his mate Shakuyaku to the Sabaody Archipelago . He played a crucial role in the Archipelago's saga by saving the Straw Hat Pirates from Admiral Kizaru and the Pacifistas. Although retired, Rayleigh remains an influential and respected figure in the New World.

Slvers Rayleigh

Scopper Gaban: Roger's left arm

If Rayleigh was the right hand man, then Gaban was definitely the left hand man of the crew captain ! An elite fighter who was part of Roger's very closed circle of confidants. Although he is a mysterious and difficult character to analyze, Gaban was at all the big moments alongside his captain, from the conquest of the Grand Line to the discovery of Laugh Tale .

Some fans even think he might be related to the former Admiral Kuzan , given their physical resemblance. Others simply think he retired... Despite the little information about him, Scopper Gaban remains a legendary figure from the golden age of piracy.

Crocus: The Doctor

There's nothing like a good doctor to keep an eye on the crew's health! Originally from the Fish-Man District, Crocus joined Roger after he saved him from the clutches of malicious pirates. As a good, devoted doctor , he treated the wounds and kept Roger's companions in shape during their adventures on the Grand Line. He even accompanied his captain to his deathbed, sharing his final moments.

After the crew was disbanded, he settled at the Twin Cape to watch over the whale Laboon . It was there that he met Luffy and his crew, telling them Roger's story and helping them enter the Grand Line. Although less powerful than his companions, Crocus was a vital member of Roger's crew, kind and caring, far from the clichés of the bloodthirsty pirate.

Kozuki Oden: The Samurai of Wano

Kozuki Oden was the feudal lord of Kuri Province in Wano . An adventurer at heart, he joined Roger's crew to explore the world and satisfy his thirst for freedom. He was an exceptional samurai, mastering the two-sword fighting style to perfection.

Oden has lived incredible adventures alongside Roger. He was present during the discovery of Laugh Tale and the truth about the Forgotten Century. Back in Wano, he paid a high price for defying the authority of Emperor Kaido and Shogun Orochi . Betrayed and sentenced to death, he demonstrated exceptional dignity, inspiring a new generation of samurai. His sacrifice will be remembered as one of the most tragic moments in One Piece.

Shanks: The Redhead

Although he was only a young cabin boy at the time, Shanks quickly showed that he had what it takes to carry on the legacy of Gol D Roger. A potential detected by the Pirate King himself! After the crew was disbanded, Shanks took flight to found his own crew, the Redhead Pirates . His charisma and power made him one of the Four Emperors who reign over the New World.

But Shanks will forever be linked to Roger through his role as a mentor to Monkey D. Luffy. By giving him his legendary straw hat , he instilled the spirit of adventure in the young pirate. Even though he lost an arm saving Luffy from a sea monster, Shanks remains a solid fighter, mastering all three types of Haki exceptionally well.

Young Shanks Le Roux

Baggy: The clown

Who better than the legendary Buggy to bring a touch of humor to this legendary crew? The grotesque pirate with the red nose started out as a simple cabin boy alongside his friend Shanks. Despite his cowardly attitude and his thug airs, Buggy has survived the worst dangers thanks to his Bara Bara no Mi devil fruit, which allows him to separate his body into pieces and control them remotely. A power thanks to which he has narrowly escaped death on many occasions!

After Roger's death, Buggy founded his own crew, the Clown Pirates, with the ambition of finding the One Piece and becoming the Pirate King. However, the Mugiwara, whom he considers his enemies, have always thwarted his plans. Despite his defeats, Buggy has always managed to land on his feet thanks to a series of misunderstandings and strokes of luck. He was even named Grand Corsair for his "exploits" at Impel Down .

Like Shanks, he recently became one of the Four Emperors thanks to his army of inmates and a map leading to an ancient ship in Rocks. While still as cowardly and opportunistic as ever, Buggy is undeniably a beloved character in One Piece.

Inuarashi and Nekomamushi: The Minks

What would a legendary crew be without its Mink scouts ? The stoic Inuarashi and the fiery Nekomamushi accompanied Roger's pirates on their adventures, proudly representing their respective tribes.

  • Inuarashi , the leader of the dog tribe, is a stoic and determined fighter, armed with a sword and able to transform into animal form.
  • Nekomamushi , the leader of the feline tribe, is more impulsive and jovial, but just as formidable in combat with his sharp claws.

Two elite warriors with radically different fighting styles but equally formidable! Back in Zou , they watched over their people and protected the secret of the Road Poneglyph . Despite a dispute that separated them for years, they finally found their complicity again to help the Mugiwara . An unbreakable bond sealed by their loyalty to the will of Oden and Roger.

Seagull Guns Nozdon: The Viking

Seagull Guns Nozdon was a pirate from the North Blue who joined Gol D. Roger's crew as a gunner after the God Valley Incident . With his impressive size and build, he is far from a normal human. .

As a member of the Roger Pirates, Nozdon participated in many notable events such as the battle against the Shiki Pirates or the confrontation against the Whitebeard Pirates. A confrontation that ended in a truce and the final voyage of the crew until Laugh Tale . After the crew disbanded, it is unknown what became of them.

Oro Jackson: The Crew's Ship

Gold Jackson

The Oro Jackson, the legendary ship of Gol D. Roger's crew, has marked the history of One Piece. This majestic red and gold ship is the only one to have reached Laugh Tale, the final island of the Grand Line. Although the Oro Jackson is only shown in flashbacks, it has its importance in the manga and anime. It has been an integral part of Roger's journey, appearing in different arcs and chapters of the manga.

Tom's construction of this ship and its ability to navigate the most dangerous seas are a testament to his greatness, as is the crew he led to glory.
